Lava Family Inn

I stayed here with my family for a reunion! We had so much fun looking in all of the rooms and seeing all the nooks and crannies. I really enjoyed staying here. Our family filled up the whole house. my favorite room was the room with the huge bed. We enjoyed the ducks and bunnies. I hope to stay here again.

We had our wedding here in October and it was amazing couldn't have asked for a better location. Joel is excellent to work with and is very accommodating and helpful. The home and surrounding property is very clean and well kept. We will definitely be back again for another stay.

I stayed at this gorgeous place. It was private and beautiful. We feed the ducks at the private pond. Every room was decorated stunningly. The master bedroom had a custom bed 10 ft by 10 foot. There was places for like 30 people to sleep in beds. There was an exercise room and massage chair. It went in the winter and was wonderfull. A high class place to visit. I would completely visit it again and already have plans to return . I highly recommend it for any occasion. Especially for family reunions.

Family reunion (20 adults, 15 kids under 7)... (This review, like a book review, is for potential renters, not for the owner or his future business, although the owner was fabulous.) The rental home accommodated our group of 35 just fine.  We loved the large open kitchen and dining area that opens onto the deck. There was plenty of seating/eating area for our group. And the serving/counter/breakfast bar space was huge, and could seat 11 people all by itself. But we mostly used it as a serving space to lay out all the food and paper goods we brought. Worked perfectly. The main level with the kitchen was nice and cool in this 90+ degree weather. But the upstairs great room and associated four bedrooms where most of our group slept, were a bit warm during the afternoon and into the night. And the basement was a bit cold. But, the family of six that slept in the two bedrooms and open area beds down there slept fine. But the basement area, and especially the bathroom, needs updated. The master bedroom was amazing, with a bed that was four times the size of a regular King. My family loved the privacy and the tall mature shade trees and huge well-maintained lawn that surrounded the house. There's a little duck pond up the hill behind the house that's real cute with ducks and wild turkeys around. There's plenty of space to play lawn games in the shade. And we enjoyed an afternoon playing in the river at the campground swimming hole down the highway. It helped to bring our own 12x12 canopy for shade at our preferred spot on the river's edge. And of course, the main reason we rented this place was because it was only 20 minutes to Lava Hot Springs, where our family rafted the river through town one day, and returned the next day for some great fun at the water park where there are high dives and super great slides for the courageous, and low slides, splash pad, and a lot of swimming area for the whole family. The owner was very responsive to our needs. There were plenty of things for my family/clan to enjoy during our reservation period of four nights. We would definitely consider coming again.

Amazing!! This is the second year we have brought out kids and grandkids. So many wonderful memories made. Joel and his staff are amazing to work with. The property is unbelievable

I absolutely loved our time here! We booked this for a family reunion. Very clean and upkept, modern but nostalgic at the same time. Secluded. Wild life around like ducks, turkeys, and deer to see see. Super cozy and can sleep so many to keep you close! Has an amazing massage chair upstairs! Great place for kids to watch movies or play games. Endless things to do. Also owner was responsive and kind. We had about 60 people there and most of the time was spent outside. In the large grass area and around the play set for the kids. In my picture you can see several people and the large backyard also a photo of my husband on the 10 ft bed that used to be own by Carl Malone! Will definitely be returning so homey away from home.

My family rented this place for 3 days, I went up for the day. Perfect little out the way podunk paradise. Very beautiful inside and out, lots of room for everyone, tons of beds. The Karl Malone bed was amazing, ducks & wild turkeys were cool. Lots of "do not use" signs. But the owner was cool. Really close to lava hot springs. And fishing is great. Price is reasonable as well. Kids had a blast.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lava Family Inn. It is conveniently located not far from I-15 and just a few minutes from Lava Hot Springs. We enjoyed the feeling of being by ourselves with no close neighbors. The house is a kids hide-and-seek dream. It has plenty of room for the whole family. The master bed is HUGE! We saw deer and turkeys right on the property site. It is in a beautiful setting. The owner was great to work with. We do think a remodel of the basement would be nice. All in all this was a great place.
